Projects
Created and founded by Richard Flash, The First 11 Project is a celebration of the earliest Black footballers to grace English football.
The idea was inspired by Richard's children Harrison and Dylan and we initially launched our project in 2024, through our daily posts on the X and Instagram platforms. Our educational events came later and were launched in partnership with Show Racism the Red Card in 2025.
We have continued to collaborate with the charity for the 2026-27 season with events scheduled to take place with Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham and the England senior teams. A series of anti-discrimination educational events will also take place in schools and football stadiums around the UK through our player research.
