The First 11 Black Players
Created and founded by Richard Flash, The First 11 Black Player research is a celebration of the earliest Black footballers to grace English football.
Our idea inspired The First 11 Black Players Exhibition, which was launched in partnership with Show Racism the Red Card in October 2025.
Our collaboration with the charity will continue through the 2026-27 football season through a series of anti-discrimination educational events taking place in schools and football stadiums around the UK.
